Married to a Thai Wife

Documents required:

  1. Application form T.M. 7 with one photograph size 4x6 cm.
  2. Visa Fee 1,900 Baht
  3. Marriage Certificate *
  4. Wife’s house registration
  5. Child's birth certificate (if any) *
  6. Wife’s identity card
  7. The married couple must have their picture taken in the following locations: (a) Standing at the front of the house with the house number clearing showing; (b) Standing or sitting in the living room; (c) Standing or sitting in the bedroom; (d) Standing or sitting in any other room. Two copies of each photo must be submitted.
  8. Map showing location of residence.
  9. Recording interviewing the husband and wife for confirming status of husband and wife

In case of the applicant is working need more documents:

  1. A copy of work permit or receiving work permit form ( WP.2 )
  2. Proof of corporate registration e.g. certificate of incorporation of company or partnership certified by the Registrar with validity for 6 months
  3. Letter from the applicant’s company to certify salary that the applicant receives not less than 40,000 baht per month (identifier position and salary)
  4. Personal Corporation income Tax (PND.1) in latest 3 months. Must be certified by the tax.
  5. Personal in come tax for previous year (PND.91) with receipt. Must be certified by the tax.
  6. Copy of latest monthly social security contributions return filed with the Social Security Office (Form STM1-10 สตม.1-10). Must be certified by the social security office.
  7. Map showing location of company
  8. Pictures which show the company’s office during normal working hours and the applicant’s responsibility.

OR

In case of the applicant has an account in Thai Bank of not less than 400,000 in Thai bank per month more documents needed:

  1. The letter from the bank (Thai Bank) to guarantee the amount of the applicant which has an account issued not more than 7 days.
  2. The statement of the bank (the applicant has an account with) which the bank pass book must show the total amount not less than 400,000 baht per month, these funds must have been in the account for a minimum term of 2 months. (The total amount must be the same as the letter from 1)

OR

In case of the applicant have a pension from their country more documents are needed:

  1. A letter from the Embassy that guarantee the amount of applicant’s pension or welfare.(the pention must be the total amount not less than 40,000 baht per month)

*If these documents were not issued by the Thai government, they must be translated to Thai or English language and must be certified by Consulate of Thailand or the Embassy of the applicant.

We need two copies of all documents (unless you are applying directly at Immigration Bureau at Chaeng Wattana)

One document I don't see listed above is 'a map to show the location of the house where the married couple live"
I've applied for this visa extension six times and every time I have been asked for the map. Is it no longer a requirement?
